A Long Island Staple Expands Beyond Carle Place
The year was 1904 in New York’s Little Italy when Giuseppe and Carmela Siano arrived from Italy with a dream of building a better life for their son, Vincent. They began selling seafood from a pushcart on the corner of Mott and Hester Streets, pairing their fresh catches with what would soon become their World Famous Mild, Medium, and Hot Sauces. Their business quickly flourished, and before long, they opened The Original Vincent’s Clam Bar —named after their son.
What started as a humble family endeavor became a celebrated dining destination where the “Old World Tradition” of authentic Italian cooking lived on.
The Spirit of Little Italy in Carle Place
Today, Vincent’s Clam Bar in Carle Place carries on that legacy with a menu that features artisan pizzas, oversized pastas, fresh seafood, and Italian specialties served in generous portions. Guests enjoy an open kitchen view, celebrity sightings, and desserts worth saving room for—like their iconic cannoli and crème brûlée flamed table-side.

The restaurant has long been a Long Island staple, known not only for its delicious food but also for its warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel like family.
How Vincent’s Sauce Made Its Way Into Walmart
The journey to Walmart began about eight months ago when executives from the retail giant visited Long Island. After dining at Vincent’s and tasting the signature sauces, the very man who selects Walmart’s products asked, “How do I get this sauce into our stores?”
From there, a months-long tasting and development process began at Vincent’s Farmingdale plant. Executives flew in from Arkansas to test recipes, and ultimately, the Mild, Medium, and Marinara sauces were chosen to represent the Vincent’s name.
The first Walmart location to feature Vincent’s sauce was Levittown, where they held ravioli tastings that drew nearly 800 people. Today, the sauce is stocked in more than ten stores, with expansion continuing rapidly. Recently, Vincent’s received the exciting news that their sauces will now be available in all New York Walmart locations.

Vincent’s Clam Bar has been part of Long Island’s dining culture for generations, offering big portions, fair prices, and the kind of authentic Italian cooking that keeps people coming back. Now, with their sauces on Walmart shelves, it’s easier than ever to bring a taste of Vincent’s home.
